Domestic violence and abuse claims the lives of around two women a week, and affects millions more people.

Whatever form it takes, domestic abuse and violence is rarely a one-off incident and occurs across society, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, wealth and geography.

Understanding the issues surrounding victims and survivors of domestic violence is vital for Public Bodies and other service providers in providing an effective response.

 

This course addresses the impact of domestic violence and provides information and guidance to staff on providing a positive response and ensuring policy matches practice.
